Message from the Principal

On behalf of the Dubai Gulf Academy - Al Barsha (DGA) family, I would like to personally welcome you to our website.

The original DGA, at Emirates Hills, was established in 2005 and for over a decade has celebrated its status as an IB World School, the first in the UAE to be authorised to offer the continuum of the three IB programmes – Primary Years, Middle Years and IB Diploma.  DGA - Al Barsha builds upon this legacy of success and quality, catering for the growing demand for a high quality IB education in this region. This is an exciting time for all involved as we develop a school, founded upon the core values of DGA and the IB but with its own uniqueness and character.

DGA students’ attainment is benchmarked against international standards, and their final IB Diploma results are well above world average and among the best in the region. Similarly, MYP results are strong. This focus on strong academic outcomes will also underpin our educational philosophy at DGA.

However, there is much more to school life than academic success alone. We offer a variety of opportunities for students’ holistic development, including sports, cultural events, performance and competition and our facilities are recognized as among the best in the region.

Through outstanding teaching and learning and the constant reinforcement of our Core Values: Achievement, Collaboration, Integrity, Innovation,  Respect and Responsibility, we empower our students to achieve their goals and become responsible global citizens.

At DGA-Al Barsha, we firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and through effective communication endeavour to keep parents fully informed and engaged in their child’s progress and welcome feedback through the various channels that we provide.

I hope that you will find our website both useful and informative. Should you wish to visit our school please contact the Admissions department to arrange an appointment.
